Bye 2005, Hello 2006!

Well, we all made it, 2005... Time to say some last words for this year 2005. Last week while xmas and so on, I have been restyling my house and eat well. This was like a sort of retraite for me and I did some thinking and planning for the comming year... A big decission is that for the next comming months I won't be dj-ing that much, part from the regular night that will continue every second friday of the month. This is because my regular full time job will take a lot of my time and to manage that with my job as a dj is not a very good combination, unfortunally. So this blog will also be on a low profile, but when there is news comming up in my life as a dj, ofcourse you will find it here and be the first to know.

My best wished for you all in the new year comming up!! let's make it a best 2006!!!

Ps. The plans for the cd cover and naked pictures of me, but also the charts that are promissed will be posted as soon as they are finished and done ;)

I am working on a new chartlist. It is gonna start in 1974, my birth year, and it's gonna end 2006. Yeah a hell of a job, hahahaha. From 1974 till now I'm gonna select the best records and make a personal freaky chart of it. So there will be about 32 records in that chart one for each year. But as you could see in the very first chart posted on this weblog, there might be some more tracks for each year, as I sometimes just can't make up my mind.

Then there is gonna be my birthday bash in january, I will try to have the chart done before that comes up, and as soon as I have more details about the birthday bash you can find it here... ;)

Tonight is the night!

Tonight is the first night of the regular returing "Celestial Night Grooves". It's been a while for me to have a regular club night, but hey it's back... Every second friday of the month, starting tonight, I will play at the Kashmir Lounge in Amsterdam. The venue starts at 22.00 till 03.00 CET.

Kashmir Lounge Resident DJ

As you all know before I used to play every once a month at Kashmir Lounge, but there was no regular date for that venue. Now I can tell you that I will be playing every second friday of the month, starting in December 2005. From that date on 'Celestial Night Grooves'has returned on a regular night, FINALLY!!!

The next date I will play Kashmir Lounge will be November 2, 2005 from 21.00 till 01.00 CET.

Ibiza Vibrations

It was intense... For the firts party by Dutch DJ Promotions it was a succes according to me. People started getting in early, it took a while though for the crowed to get loose, but as soon as I played Snoop and Justins song "Signs" in the remix, people actually started dancing and getting more loose. Well this is it for now, when I had a little more sleep, I will make this review more extended...

Photoshoot, whahaha :D

Well, well, well... All that work for nothing really. Yesterday late night I had a camera, a set up and someone to do the make-up. We did many pictures and all looked good. At the point I was gonna save the pictures on a photo cd, then it went wrong. My pc crashed and we've lost all the files some how.. Shame, shame cause the pictures were really good. So now we have to do it again...

Inspiration, some thinking and so on...

It's been quiet for a few days now, I've been thinking on a new cover for the promo cd and the idear I got is fabulous, as it will show a lot of myself :D
So in the next few days there will be some previews on here, and maybe you can tell me if I am on the right track there... On the other hand I think maybe I should not do this, because this idear would be fabulous for an official release cover. Well like said soon a preview.

Survived the weekend!! :)

Friday was a good night, DJ Tommo played well. Remember I was there just for fun and yes we had fun. Saturday was Mistery Land, one of the big dance festivals here in The Netherlands. I didn't go there but gossip goes it was fab, ofcourse ;)
Sunday was 10 years anniversary Love Land, and yes there I went, beyond fab!! Heard a DJ set by Josh Wink, wow he's so good doing his thing, excelent music!

Grins, my opinion is that these are not the best pics, lol. Even my neighbour told me that she thinks she did see me more 'pretty' on pictures, but above all she said i look better in real life. Now how should I take this? (just a joke) The thing that got me inspired to make more posts is that my agent, manager, booker or how ever you call the one that makes shure me as a DJ is booked, rang me to tell me I can add a new date to my bookings. YEEHAA, things go great. So below some dates for the parties comming up:

Getting Fanatic !!

Well, well, well, a second post on the same day... May that happen more often in the future.

I got inspired and so here is a short party review on the Sonic Planet party that took place on the 5th of August 2005. Some inside information you need to know though. Uhoh, now it's getting slightly personal. Ok, here we go...

You have to know that last 2,5 years I was not really active as a DJ. Before some things in life happend, and that took away all fun and inspiration for make a party go BOOM! Sonic Planet was end 2003 the last official party I did. I took a break, made shure that all records in my house were removed (no, I didn''t sell them, though I was thinking doing so..) I just had all my DJ equipment there and nothing to play with, call it selfpunishment ;)
To make a long story short, just a few months ago I decided to get them records back and start from the scratch again, So I DID.

To have this break for such 'long' time actually did me very well. And here I am again, to regain my little spot in DJ land. I can truely say: I am back on track! And see here Sonic Planet is the firts official party I am doing.

Now back to Sonic Planet, it was awsome! A very nice atmosphere and lots of party minded fun people. You could feel that the organisation had put loads of energy into the production of the party, you could feel they do it with love and passion. Love and passion for music and party. Just like the way it used to be...

Finally, the official DJ CELESTE weBlog !!

So here it is, last but not least, my own personal weblog. Yes, there is an official website www.djceleste.com but because I choose the very wrong internet provider, it is not possible for me to update my own official website, so I decided to create a weblog through this way.

This is just the start, and soon this space will be more flash, more exciting and more interesting. My personal thoughts, pictures and other information can be found here. I need to puzzle some things like I want to make a shoutbox and some other nice features on this weblog, give it some time to grow...

It feels like I have a lot of inspiration to post on here and make something nice out of it, but like said this will take some time, I'll do my best to keep it as up to date as possible.
